Editorial policy
Every record on CheckKereta.my names its source and the date we last checked it. This page sets out where the data comes from, how we check it, what we do not do, and how to correct it.
Where our data comes from
Shop listings come from the Overture Maps Foundation (CDLA-Permissive-2.0). We keep places that Overture rates at a confidence of 0.6 or higher.
Official offices come from the bodies that run them: JPJ's state office lists on jpj.gov.my, JPJ's register of accident-repair workshops (list dated 23 Sep 2025), PUSPAKOM's branch list (updated 1 Sep 2026) and fee page (updated 17 Sep 2026), and Perodua's official outlet list.
Fuel prices and vehicle registrations come from data.gov.my (CC BY 4.0). Maps are © OpenStreetMap contributors.
How we check it
Each page shows the date we last checked it. An official office we have not yet re-checked against its own source carries a Not re-checked yet label, so you know to call first.
A shop gets an official register label only when both its phone number and its address match the register. When they do not, for example a phone listed as +60 4-425 2809 in the map data and 04-4259809 on the register, a person reviews it and we show no label.
We check Perodua's official outlet list every month.
What we do not do
- We do not use Google data.
- We do not sell rankings. Shops cannot pay to move up a list.
- We do not give car insurance advice.
- We do not publish opening hours or prices unless the business sends them.
- We do not call a shop Verified, Certified or Recommended. We say which official list it is on.
How to correct a listing
Every page has a Report a mistake link. Tell us what is wrong and where you saw the right details.
Business owners can claim their listing to fix details or send opening hours. Hours they send are marked From the business, with the date.
We check every new listing before it goes live.
